“ Great little place! It needs better signage, because it's in a rinky dink center. You blink, and you'll miss it! We've driven by it so many times, and hadn't known it was there. If you like Wood Ranch, you'll love this place! Balkan style BBQ! The beef ribs are almost fall off the bone tender, and the chicken is melt in your mouth delicious!!! Moderately priced with very generous portions....the half orders are large enough to share! We'll definitely be back, as there's more for us to sample...but for now I'm recovering from my food coma! ”

“ This place is great. It is something different. Not the same old boring "bar style" food. I had the burger, BBQ style. It came on a ciabatta roll and a side of fries. It was really good.....not a traditional burger and not traditional BBQ. Refreshing and different. The portion size was "plenty".....show up hungry. The service was very friendly. A full house of smiling staff members. The restaurant itself was very cozy and relaxed. TV's on the wall with baseball and all the doors opened set the tone to "chill". Plenty of patio seating too. So happy to see a quality restaurant on the East side of Escondido. Can't wait to go back and try one of their signature sandwiches or salads. ”

“ My wife and I met our niece there for dinner after having met the owner/son, Nick, while playing golf on the weekend. We were visiting from out of town and were looking for something local, tasty, and unique. I had the Old World Mixed plate and it was fabulous! The tastes were reminiscent of my recent visit to Croatia and Greece with superbly seasoned meat and sausages mixed with red peppers and onions (Ajvar) served on pita bread with a side of very fresh Cole Slaw. We loved it! The Kresovich family were so welcoming and warm that we felt like old friends! What a great experience! ”

“ The owners are super nice and easy to talk to. The menu is very detailed and there's a lot of customization that can be done. If you're in the market for something new, this is an awesome place! Very clean, super professional. I really enjoyed my salad with grilled chicken and Greek dressing. My husband got the old world sandwich with the old world style seasonings and sauces. Cannot go wrong! I was pleasantly surprised when my grilled chicken came from the citrus wood barbecue, flame kissed to perfection, and was actually chicken thigh meat instead of chicken breast. They hit the nail on the head! ”

“ If you love meat OWM is phenomenal. Family atmosphere. Great service. Cold beer. The sausage platter is huge and made to order not in some warming tray. This is Mediterranean at its finest. BTW there is a vegan option if you are so inclined. Looks great but I have not tried it. ”

“ Just finished my meal. The good here is amazing. I had the sausage plate and the mixed meat plate both in their Balkan Style. The flavor in each bite made me want to take another. The service is amazing. Takes a little bit for the food to be prepared but once you take a bite you understand why. Just simply amazing. Highly recommend. ”
